 ZEHUT REKUMA - FINAL PROJECT
The messages ingrained in us as women are always contradictory, be modest and don’t stand out, yet be attractive and sexy. This project explores the concept of femininity and seeks to dismantle outdated and irrelevant patterns. Through dialogue, observation, and diverse feminine perspectives,  it presents a series of preparatory embroidery sketches.
The project creates a dialogue between distance and closeness- from afar, the full image is visible, but up close, additional layers are revealed, including hidden typography documenting women’s stories. Each image in the project represents a meaningful object for a specific woman, with the icons composing it reflecting feminine experiences, emotions, and identities.

Finally, the project takes shape as a workspace with an unfinished hand embroidery piece, symbolizing the ongoing journey of defining femininity. It leaves open space for reflection, exploration, and continuous transformation.

Exhibited at the Shenkar College Graduate Exhibition, July 2023
